First off, I'm a guitar moron that shouldn't be allowed to play, but I do anyways, so please forgive me in advance... my problem is, I don't know which kind of Strat I have, and there are about 4 or 5 American types to choose from on your list. It's American made and I believe it was made in the early 90's. It has the red, blue and gold Fender Lace Sensor pickup's (with covers) and the brushed metal (nickel?) hardware. Thanks!

You have a 1993 Fender American Standard Deluxe. Very Nice guitar, I love the Lace Sensors.

Thanks forkliftman!

Now I remember, the "N" signifies 90 and the first number is the year... but what tells you that it's Standard Deluxe?

I'm curious why you love the Lace Sensors? It seems like the covered pickups and brushed metal hardware was such a short lived phase for Fender, do you know why?

Proly way to nice of a guitar for a hack like me, but the beautiful wood grain finish underneath red sold me right away and it looks great on stage.

thanks again!

I think the Lace Sensors give it more of a humbucker vibe, I only know what the guitar is because I had the same year and model that you do except mine was natural. I ended up putting a clapton booster in it, and regretfully traded it away. I can only imagine that Fender would be charging $1700 for the guitar if it was in production today. Now they have the noisless pickups, I think the Lace stuff is way better, my current strat has Lace Holy Grails in it. Very nice sounding.
