Guitar Hero Skins Tournament (post by axewraps)

Guitar Hero Skins Tournament? Is that like a PGA skins tournament. I heard that Guitar Hero has changed their tournament system for World Tour. We are looking at working with AngryEdison.com as soon as we reconfigure. So stay tuned and check out AngryEdison.com periodically.

Wrap Info (post by AxeTech)

Here's an email we received. We thought the info might be useful.

Message: How thick (mils)is the vinyl wrap? Does it affect the guitar's sound? How long will it last? How many times can it be put on and removed? Thanks for your time.

Response: Total thickness is 5.25mil with vinyl and laminate. It has no effect on a solid body guitar and so far we have found no noticeable sound difference on acoustics, however, I will say that we have not tested them on high end acoustics where tone really matters. I would guess that there is actually a slight tonal difference if you were to scope the audio signal coming out of the guitar but I doubt very much if it's something the average person can perceive. The wrap will last indefinitely provided that it is not abused with sharp or abrasive materials. It's the same product used on vehicle wraps so it's made to take significant use. Our wraps are unlike some of the products on the market in that the adhesive is semi-permanent meaning that it's designed to stay put and not be removed until you want to dispose of it. So while it can't be taken off and re-applied, the benefit is that it conforms to every curve of the body and looks as though it's a part of the instrument as opposed to being more of a cling product that just sits on top of the finish. I hope this answers your questions and please feel free to contact us if you have any others. Thanks for the interest.

More heavy metal designs (post by axewraps)

Things for the feedback. We've actually thought about this quite a bit. I am in agreement that we should add some more skulls, crosses, and skeletons as these items make for very good design elements. The problem we are facing is that, we at Axewraps, love and enjoy life (as I am sure you do too) and some can perceive these symbols as a glorification of death. But I think we have a solution to this and the new designs with some of the design elements you mentioned will soon be added to the site.

More heavy metal designs (post by hamning)

I just ordered my first to wrap my strat and I am looking forward to receiving it. I hope it will give me that new guitar sense, like I get when I order new graphix for my dirtbikes..

Anyways, I would like to see more heavy metal style designs. ie.. skulls, crosses, skeletons, etc.. That would be cool.

BC Rich Warbeast (post by AxeTech)

Our goal is to eventually have templates for all brands and models, but we are working on the basis of demand. The Warbeast is a cool axe but there aren't too many of them out there compared to other models so it's unfortunately down on the list. If it's something you're definitely interested in, please let us know and we'll try to move it up in priority. Thanks for the interest.

Dudes can you tell me is there a game pad for PC
becouse i got the game in my computer but i want to play the game with pad pls tell

You need to purchase either a PS3 controller (works as soon as you plug it in) or an Xbox360 wireless controller (requires Microsoft drivers but works well). I can vouch for both options, as they work well.

TNX but where i can find a guitar without a game aaaaa if i want to get Xbox360 controller i must get the with the guitar i don`t know where i can find only a guitar and btw what Microsoft driver it wants?

Any store like Gamestop or EB Games (www.gamestop.com) sells used and new guitar controllers. That's where I got mine.

You know the controller is got cable at the end of the cable whats it.Usb or what????
pls tell me couse if i buy a game with guitar couse in bulgaria i dont know where i can find only guitar but man tell me what is in the end of the cable or is usb non cable guitar tell me if i buy it i got 2 usb in the front and i can put it there if its usb but if not what i will do i must buy ps3 :@

It'll be wireless for both the PS3 and the Xbox360 controllers, but the 'receiver' that you plug into your computer will be USB. Again, you can purchase these guitar controllers on ebay, or games stores such as Gamestop or EB Games. Ebay would be your best bet if you want it shipped to Bulgaria.

Good luck!

becouse i got the game in my computer but i want to play the game with pad pls tell

You need to purchase either a PS3 controller (works as soon as you plug it in) or an Xbox360 wireless controller (requires Microsoft drivers but works well). I can vouch for both options, as they work well.

Not seeing my uploads? (post by axewraps)

Thanks so much for all of the designs you have uploaded. They are excellent! As one of our content managers was out last week, some of the uploads being posted tot he site have been delayed until his return. You should see them fairly quickly. Also, as a side note, we are getting fairly fracatal heavy. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping us fill up some of our other categories, please let me know. Thanks!

A2F's Axe Drafts (post by Addicted2fractals)
Actually, A2F, let me clarify how the wraps will be sent to the end user. We have painstakingly created exact templates for each of the guitars/controllers listed in the AxeWrapper. That means that when a user orders a wrap for say a Fender Strat-American Standard with the pickguard included, they will receive and precut applique that completely covers the face of the guitar by laying under the pickguard plus a separately precut applique for the pickguard itself, both with all holes for pickups, knobs, etc cut-out for perfect alignment. This provides the user with a seamless image with essentially no part of the face of the guitar visible. For a wrap that does not include the pickguard, installation is a bit more straightforward as none of the hardware needs to be removed before laying down the wrap, but again, the wrap does come completely cut to fit the specific model that is was designed for. The wrap does not, however, cover the sides or back of the guitar at this time. We plan on releasing BackWraps at some point but because of the expertise required to wrap the complex curves of the sides of a guitar we have elected to avoid going in that direction. FYI, we have completely wrapped a couple of guitars for our own use and it's quite a task.

As for the error you're receiving, we'll check into that and post any fixes in the forums. Thanks for the heads up and for your involvement and we really do appreciate all of your input.

On another note, I will be posting some quick templates in Photoshop format for the artists to use when creating wraps. They should give you a good idea as to what your designs will look like as you're working on them. We also plan to post the artists screen names so that users can search the wraps by artist. You can do that now by typing your name in the search bar of the AxeWrapper.

Hope this helps.

waiting for those templates :D
cause the final wraps doesn't look as we tried to fit them

can't wait for the screen names :)

Yea, my 'electric' looking one only looks how I intended it on the Xbox Xplorer guitar hero guitar.
